alt.binaries.dvd9 Complete DVD9 Movie Backups
alt.binaries.dvd9 is for the posting of binary files
containing complete backups of DVD9 movies which
have not been downsampled, stripped, or compressed
in any way. Collections will be posted multi-volume
archives, split into 50MB volumes.
All posts must be backups of complete Retail or
Screener DVD Movies which have not been stripped,
downsampled, or compressed in anyway - which in
almost every case will be DVD9 Format (8.5GB).
PAR/PAR2, SFV, or any other file verification and
recovery method will be acceptable for posting.
The 8.5GB should cover a single DVD, as well as
any other accompanying files such as Covers,
labels, and any NFO files containing information
about the collection.
Posts may not contain any of the following:
1) Child Pornography.
2) Password and/or Encryption protected files/RARs
3) Advertisements, SPAM
4) Flames, Trolls
5) Unmarked Binaries
6) Virus infected posts
8) Photos, Videos which are not contained in RAR files
An FAQ should be written and approved by the users,
mainly for the purpose of setting category tags for
easy recognition and easy use of filters.
At present, there is no such group existing within Usenet.
There are certain groups posting DVD5 movies, but not
non-downsampled DVD9's. There are DVD5 groups, but with
DVD9 burners available on the market, and bandwidth
becoming more readily available, these DVD9's will be posted.
It is to the advantage of the posters and to the recipients
to separate DVD5 and DVD9 movies, as to not flood each
others posts off of the servers.
No google search has been done, nor is one going to be done.
Use of this group will grow rapidly as the price of DVD9 burners
continue to plumit, and as word of mouth, word of email, word of
posting and announcements continue to spread.
in other groups.
This group will be not be moderated.
